About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood issued a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice on December 4, 2025, for a three-month extension of base operations and maintenance support services at Fort Carson, Colorado and Pinion Canyon Maneuver Site. The contract extension, valued at $24.1 million, covers comprehensive facilities management services including maintenance, repair, supervision, materials, and labor for real property and building systems across the installation. The justification for sole-source award to incumbent contractor T&H Services (Contract W911RZ-19-C-0002) cites the uniqueness of their position as the current operator and their ability to facilitate the most efficient transition to a follow-on contract, with no identified viable alternatives despite market research efforts that found two potential vendors technically unacceptable. The extension was necessitated by a government furlough that delayed the procurement timeline for the successor contract, with the new award projected between mid-January and February 2026. This interim extension is critical to maintain continuous operational support and prevent disruption to military base functions during the transition period.
