About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking a qualified guest speaker to deliver a two-hour instructional module on Leadership and Self-Care to students at the First Sergeant Academy (FSA) located at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The primary service being procured is professional training instruction focused on personality-based communication tools and self-awareness development, with emphasis on connecting First Sergeant stressors to self-care's role in personal and family health. The critical qualification requirement is that the contractor must have served in a First Sergeant functional role as a multilevel Command Chief Master Sergeant for a minimum of four years with documented managerial experience and oversight of First Sergeants. Eligible respondents must submit supporting documentation such as resumes, detailed biographies, training records, certifications, and past performance references substantiating their qualifications. This is a Sources Sought notice intended to gather market information and develop an acquisition strategy rather than award a contract directly; responses are due by 12:00 p.m. Central Time on February 2, 2026, and should be submitted via email to SSgt Khadijah Jones or Ms. LaChandra Thompson at the 42d Contracting Squadron.

This procurement includes no set-aside designations and no incumbent contractor information has been identified. The base contract period runs from February 23, 2026, through February 22, 2027, with four optional one-year renewal periods available, indicating a potential five-year contract duration. The contractor will be required to deliver seven scheduled training sessions per performance year and provide all preparatory materials, presentation slides, workbooks, and student handouts in digital format compatible with Air Force standard desktop configurations, with initial materials due by February 23, 2026. Work will be performed at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base or via an approved virtual platform during standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), and the contractor must obtain base access credentials and comply with all force protection, REAL ID Act, and security procedures. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in this Sources Sought notice, which is typical for pre-solicitation documents designed to assess market capability and inform future contracting decisions.
