About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command seeks a contractor to integrate Intrusion Detection System (IDS) monitoring capabilities into an Army prototype vehicle system located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The primary services required include installing one motion sensor inside the vehicle and two door-monitoring sensors outside, which will interface with an existing Balanced Magnetic Switch and integrate into the Fort Bragg Directorate of Emergency Services' existing DAQ IDS system. A critical qualification requirement is that the contractor must possess a valid Top-Secret clearance upon contract award and may require Secret Facility Clearance to access the facility where the work will be performed. The government will evaluate responses based on demonstrated previous experience with similar IDS integration projects, technical approach and proposed solutions, commercial availability and pricing estimates, small business status and certifications, and recommendations for structuring contract requirements to facilitate competition. The response deadline for this Sources Sought Notice is January 29, 2026, and interested contractors should provide detailed information about their firm, experience, capabilities, and security clearances to Fort Bragg MICC.

This is a non-set-aside procurement, though the government notes this is being pursued on a small business set-aside basis and requires at least two qualified small businesses to respond with sufficient information to support such determination. The anticipated NAICS classification is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) with a $19 million size standard for small business eligibility. While no specific award value is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the scope indicates a relatively contained project with installation work to be completed by February 9, 2026, requiring coordination during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST). The installation requires coordination with compound personnel and DES staff for connections, programming, and testing, and includes providing training upon completion. All work must comply with Fort Bragg base access procedures and security protocols applicable to the Temporary Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility.
