About this opportunity
Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit technical services for troubleshooting, repair, and operational testing of a Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant Compressor aboard a naval vessel, with responses due by June 22, 2026. No set-aside applies. Work is performed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard during a Periodic Incremental Availability, with performance extending from August 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027. All work must complete one month prior to the project milestone "All Propulsion Work Completed in the Plants" (PW42).
The compressor experienced an injection water pressure failure identified during shipyard inspection; prior troubleshooting by Ship's Force and the In-Service Engineering Agent yielded no corrective action. The contractor, expected to be the Original Equipment Manufacturer and technical expert, must perform on-site troubleshooting and repair, conduct full-load operational testing, notify the shipyard of required material replacements, provide Change for Review documentation for any growth work, and remain available on-site with seven days' notice. The contractor furnishes all tools, test equipment, consumables, and Personal Protective Equipment, as well as required personnel. Work must maintain Level II Cleanliness standards on shipboard systems and comply with OSHA and Hazardous Energy Control requirements. Personnel must obtain a Confidential security clearance with a red NAVSEA badge. Weekly email status updates are required to Norfolk Naval Shipyard by 1200 on Tuesdays.
