About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center has published a Special Notice for the procurement of a Flame VR T3 Training System. This comprehensive system is designed to provide an enterprise-level VR headset display, industry-standard firefighter equipment, and a range of simulated fire and HAZMAT training scenarios.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to seek a vendor that can provide the required system, which includes an industry-standard firefighter branch/nozzle, a hose reel with force feedback, a heat-vest, a SCBA backpack, and an extensive library of virtual training scenarios. The contract is being awarded on a sole-source basis due to the incumbent vendor, FLAIM Systems, having proprietary intellectual property protection on the required components. The government is inviting all interested parties to submit information describing their ability to provide the required product by the closing date of September 5, 2024 at 4:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. The contract is set aside for small businesses.
