This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 114210 (Hunting and Trapping), procured as a simplified acquisition under FAR Part 13.
Place of performance is Martin County, Florida, encompassing the 1,091-acre refuge (735-acre island tract and 300-acre mainland tract). The contractor must hold Certified Wildlife Biologist credentials and demonstrate minimum 100 documented hours of experience trapping and removing predators such as coyotes and hogs from public lands. Work shall begin within 2 weeks of award or 30 days of government notification, with full project completion required by November 30, 2026. The base contract period runs June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, with four one-year option periods extending through May 31, 2031. Pricing is weekly on an on-call basis with weekly service cost quotes required; the price schedule structures pricing for 52 weeks annually, though the actual trapping season runs May through October. All pricing must include labor, materials, equipment (including traps and ATVs/UTVs), transportation, applicable licenses, and prevailing wage rates per Department of Labor Wage Determination 2015-4563 for Martin and St. Lucie counties, Florida.
