About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command's 9th Contracting Squadron awarded contract FA468626PC006 to Monaco Enterprises, Inc. for $962,932.01 on April 23, 2026, for procurement and installation of a system upgrade to the Monaco D-21 Fire Alarm Reporting System.
The award was made on a sole-source basis under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), citing only one responsible source and no other supplies or services satisfying agency requirements. The upgrade addresses DoD cybersecurity compliance and system performance and reliability. A Justice and Approval document dated December 17, 2021, supporting non-competitive acquisition, references a Class J&A effective through September 30, 2026, with an estimated total contract value of $14,800,000 covering approximately 20,864 units expected to reach end-of-service life over a five-year period. The Air Force justifies standardization across CONUS and OCONUS installations to reduce training costs by approximately $22 million and 375,000 duty hours over five years, given current Air Force inventory comprising 28 different fire alarm panel manufacturers, with 86 percent of installations operating multiple brands.
