Added: Apr 18, 2014 4:24 pm The U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) in support of the Federal Aviation Administration has a requirement for construction support services for the Fire Life Safety (FLS) program in Airport Traffic control towers and associated buildings. It is the intent of the Volpe Center to award multiple Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contracts containing Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS). The IDIQ contracts will have a five (5) year period of performance (PoP) to commence upon date of award. Competitive task orders will be placed based upon specific FLS requirements as identified throughout the PoP utilizing the fair opportunity process of FAR Subpart 16.505(b). Basic IDIQ contracts and task orders will be awarded to those offering the Government the best value utilizing the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the Government System for Award Management site found at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/#1. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation will be released on or about 6 May 2014 at the Federal Business Opportunities website; https://www.fbo.gov/. No hard copies of the RFP will be mailed.
