About this opportunity
The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service is soliciting proposals for the upfitting and installation of red light, siren, and striping packages on eight new 2024 Ford fire command vehicles. The procurement requires vendors to procure and install all red light-siren (RLS) systems and striping/nomenclature kits, while the Forest Service will supply mobile radios, console faceplates, remote speakers, and antenna kits. Key requirements include compliance with OEM/manufacturer specifications, industry standards, applicable NFPA standards, state laws, and USDA Forest Service policies, as well as location within 125 miles of Pueblo, Colorado 81008. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government based on evaluation of price, past performance, and technical capability. The solicitation due date is February 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM Mountain Time, and contractors who previously responded to the inactive solicitation must resubmit their responses and acknowledge receipt of Amendment 0001 with their bids.
This is a Total Small Business set-aside with no identified incumbent contractors. The eight vehicles consist of six Ford F250 and F350 Supercabs/Crew Cabs and two Ford Rangers, each identified by specific Forest Service equipment numbers and VINs, with completion required by December 19, 2025. The specifications require LED light bars (48" to 54" depending on vehicle type) with minimum 5-year factory warranty, 100-watt siren speakers with PA capability, vehicle-specific consoles with charging ports and storage (or handheld control systems for the Ranger), and comprehensive decals including 18" rooftop markings. The work will be performed in Pueblo, Colorado, with specific pricing to be submitted as unit prices for each of the eight vehicles as separate line items. Contractors must submit their technical response, price proposal, past performance documentation, completed representations and certifications, and the signed SF30 amendment form via email to jessica.rasmussen@usda.gov.
Notice text
This is an amendment to a previous solicitation under the same number that is inactive. Due to not being able to activate the previous notice this separate notice was generated. Contractors who previously responded must respond to this updated solicitation.
Note the maximum distance away from the location the vehicles can be transported by the Government. If the location of service is outside of this area the Government cannot transport and therefore the contractor will not be eligible for award.
Contractors must submit the signed SF30 for this amendment with their solicitation response.
