Synopsis/Solicitation Combination


INTRODUCTION

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-06, effective 26 May 2022. This acquisition is full and open competition. The associated NAICS code is 541990, ¿All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services¿, with an associated size standard of $16.5 million annually.

SPECIFICATION

The U.S. Geological Survey, Earthquake Science Center requires a twenty (20) week system rental and service of a fiber optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) interrogator system and associated processing hardware. The system will be deployed on a shore-based cable on the Pacific Coast to record seismic data and monitor for earthquakes. Quotations/Proposals shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at nlushenko@usgs.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 15 July 2022 at 1700 Eastern Time.
