Place of performance is Maynard, MA. Work involves maintenance of a US Antenna Products LP-1001CA antenna mounted on an 80-foot Valmont tower supporting FEMA's National Radio System for emergency communications. The scope includes inspecting and photographing 19 boom insulators, applying UV-resistant 2-part marine grade fiberglass epoxy coating to fully encapsulate exposed insulator surfaces, replacing five broken 1/2-inch PVC straps and ten 1/4-inch concrete tapping screws, installing two government-provided Andrew Universal Ground kits at the tower base and facility entry point with exothermic welding and weatherproofing, and performing full frequency sweep testing from 2.0 to 30.0 MHz measuring Voltage Standing Wave Ratio and return loss with results documented in PDF format. Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and certified tower-climbing personnel (minimum two on-site). Work is performed Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-day performance period beginning within 10 calendar days of award. Insurance requirements include general liability of at least $500,000 per occurrence and employer's liability of at least $100,000. Desired completion time is 45 days or sooner after receipt of order.
