About this opportunity

The Food and Drug Administration Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition seeks to award a sole source contract to IWP Health Inc./Dinesafe.org to provide continued access to crowdsourced foodborne illness data and analytic services. The objective is to evaluate the utility of consumer illness reporting for early signal detection and outbreak response over the next year. Proposals are due within 60 days of award notification and will be evaluated using lowest price technically acceptable criteria.

There is no set-aside designation. IWP Health Inc./Dinesafe.org, as the only current collector and analyzer of artificial intelligence-driven consumer foodborne illness reporting data, is deemed uniquely qualified for this procurement. The potential award value is $130,000 to cover a one year base period of performance from September 2023 through September 2024, with two optional one year extension periods. Services will be performed remotely as the contractor extracts and analyzes de-identified consumer illness incident data and provides specialized analytic support and findings to the FDA.
