About this opportunity

The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced a sole-source intent to ALEUT for general contracting upgrade at FBI Los Angeles, with a closing date of September 8, 2026. The notice is set aside for small business. Per FAR 5.207(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation for consideration; submissions must be received by the closing date and directed to Contracting Officer Hong Nguyen at HNGUYEN2@FBI.GOV. The underlying requirement is installation of a tankless water heater and tile cleaning services for the Garage Annex at the FBI Los Angeles Field Office, with an estimated contract value of $30,726.08 and a performance completion date of September 30, 2026. The FBI's Finance and Facilities Division justified sole-source procurement under 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) based on the property lessor's identification of the contractor as possessing established experience, relevant licensure, certified in-house engineers, and demonstrated general contracting experience with local, state, and federal governments. The acquisition supports the FBI's facility upgrade program in preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games.
