About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a notice of intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Control Laser Corporation for a FALIT TRIO Laser System and integrated workstation, with a deadline of May 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET for capability statement submissions. The FBI is procuring the system under FAR 6.302(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, based on the government's need for high-precision laser marking, engraving, and micromachining capabilities integrated with a Class 1 safety-certified enclosure, Control Laser's proprietary FALIT TRIO architecture and software, and full compatibility with existing government-owned Control Laser equipment, tooling, job files, and workflows. Any responsible source that believes it can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement to Contracting Officer Adelle Bolton at albolton@fbi.gov, provided the response includes clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, the firm's Unique Entity ID, and business size classification. The system supports mission-critical operations dependent on the Control Laser ecosystem. This announcement constitutes the only notice that will be published; no phone inquiries will be accepted, and justification is available upon request.
