About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, Myanmar is seeking a contract for FAC Uniforms through a competitive solicitation issued by the Department of State. The procurement involves acquiring various uniform items including 126 short-sleeve shirts, 107 long-sleeve shirts, 247 work pants, 21 composite toe work shoes, and 18 waterproof mesh shoes in specific styles and colors such as Carhartt-style chambray shirts and CAT work shoes. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit electronic quotations in English to Rangoonproposals@state.gov by May 29, 2025, at 4:30 pm Yangon Time. The government intends to award the contract to the responsible company submitting the technically acceptable offer at the lowest price, with potential additional consideration given to shorter lead times. Quotation submissions must adhere to strict formatting requirements, including file size limitations of 30MB and acceptable file formats of MS-Word, MS-Excel, or Adobe Acrobat PDF.
The solicitation is not designated with any specific set-aside and will be performed in Yangon, Myanmar. The total quantity of uniforms represents a comprehensive outfitting project for what appears to be facilities or administrative personnel at the U.S. Embassy. Specific technical requirements include Carhartt Force relaxed fit ripstop cargo work pants in dark khaki and navy, along with specific shoe models like CAT composite toe work shoes in black and CAT Intruder Lightning Mesh waterproof shoes. The embassy reserves the right to request sample analysis and potentially inspect production facilities for local offerors, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to vendor selection. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement involves multiple clothing and footwear items suggesting a moderate-sized contract for uniform procurement. Potential vendors should carefully review the detailed specifications and ensure complete compliance with all submission requirements to be considered for award.
