About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking a firm fixed-price contractor to fabricate twenty-three (23) finished launch tubes for Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) at NAS North Island in San Diego, California. The procurement requires off-site manufacturing, machining, welding, passivating, priming, and painting of raw tubes in strict accordance with five specified NAVSEA drawings, including thrust rings using 316L CRES material and jacking plates. Contractors must demonstrate technical compliance with all statement of work requirements and salient characteristics, conduct inspections at their facility and at FRCSW, and provide serialization of components along with specific surface treatments. This procurement operates under NAICS code 336415 (Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Propulsion Unit Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees, though no set-aside designation has been applied, making this a full and open competition. No incumbent contractors or specific budget ranges are identified in the solicitation documents. The contract requires completion and delivery of all twenty-three launch tube weldments within six months of contract award, with performance occurring at the contractor's off-site facility for manufacturing and machining operations. Final inspection and delivery will take place at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest facility in San Diego, California. The contractor must also provide required data deliverables including a test/inspection report and certificate of compliance within seven days of service completion, along with a commercial standard warranty covering materials, labor, shipping, and handling for replacement parts.
