About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base is conducting market research through RFI #ROUK-25-003 to identify suppliers of white knit fabric for military ceremonial and duty-specific gloves. The Air Force Uniform Office seeks 100% cotton double knit fabrics (including Simplex, Interlock, and Ponte Di Roma styles) with specific performance characteristics including easy care, moisture-wicking properties, fine gauge construction, white or bleached coloring with optical brightener, fade and shrink resistance, softness, and breathability. Preference is given to Berry Compliant fabrics, though alternative non-Berry Compliant options will also be considered. Interested vendors must submit responses by 12:00pm EST on August 18, 2025, to joseph.derevage.1@us.af.mil, with submissions limited to 15 pages and including company details, NAICS code 313310, and production capability information. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database, and the government will review all submissions to assess market competition and determine potential procurement approaches.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the documentation. The RFI specifies that the desired fabric weight should range from 7.0-9.5 oz/sq yd, though no specific quantities, award values, or budget ranges are disclosed at this market research stage. The government indicates that responses to this RFI may inform future acquisition strategies, including the potential for small business set-asides in subsequent procurements. The primary focus is on identifying capable suppliers and assessing the market landscape for this specialized textile requirement rather than establishing immediate contract terms or quantities.
