About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Center has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to extend the current Center Operations Maintenance Services (COMS) contract with JanCo FS2 (dba Velociti) for up to twelve months, from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. This extension will be executed on a single-source basis under the FAA Acquisition Management System Policy 3.2.2.4. The contract (692M15-19-C-00039) is classified under the Facilities Support Services NAICS category (561210) and involves maintenance of administrative facilities and service buildings. The notice was published on December 12, 2024, with a due date of December 13, 2024, and represents a strategic approach to maintain service continuity while the FAA prepares for a follow-on contract.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to ensure uninterrupted operational maintenance services at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center by extending the current contract with the existing provider. Contractors should note that this is a single-source extension specifically for JanCo FS2 (Velociti) and does not represent an open competitive opportunity for other firms. The extension will provide the FAA additional time to develop and procure a comprehensive follow-on contract without disrupting essential center operations. No specific set-aside has been indicated for this contract, and the extension is primarily focused on maintaining service stability. The twelve-month period will allow the FAA to conduct thorough preparation for the subsequent contract procurement, ensuring a smooth transition of maintenance and operational support services at the Technical Center.
