About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is conducting a no-cost Request for Information (RFI) for pricing and availability related to HF9500 radio system installation and maintenance for the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) C-130H aircraft. The RFI seeks detailed information from potential suppliers regarding the procurement of 25 HF9500 radio systems, including specific component part numbers for high-frequency receiver-transmitters, antenna couplers, and control units. The request covers a period of performance from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2032, with the primary location being Gimhae Air Base in the Republic of Korea. Contractors are expected to provide information on lead times, delivery logistics, and technical support capabilities, including original equipment manufacturer (OEM) engineering assistance and repair support. The deadline for submitting responses is January 13, 2025, with the understanding that this RFI is purely for market research purposes and does not constitute a binding contract offer.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, making it open to all qualified vendors in the aircraft parts and communications equipment manufacturing sector. The procurement involves 25 radio systems intended for installation across 12 C-130H aircraft, with a focus on comprehensive technical documentation including maintenance manuals, illustrated parts breakdowns, and current service bulletins. Shipping logistics will utilize Korean Air as a freight forwarder based in Los Angeles, CA, for material transportation. While no specific budget range is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the request suggests a significant potential contract value. Contractors are encouraged to provide pricing information and highlight any limitations in their ability to meet the specified requirements, with the opportunity to propose alternative services or capabilities if standard specifications cannot be fully met.
