About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking repair services for three National Stock Numbers (NSNs) of direct current brush-type motors through solicitation FA8250-26-Q-0513. The procurement requires contractors to perform test, teardown, and evaluation (TT&E) of the end items followed by repair or replacement of failed components to restore motors to serviceable, like-new condition. Key requirements include visual, mechanical, and electrical testing; identification of failed parts by part number, NSN, nomenclature, and location; cleaning and corrosion treatment per military standards; and comprehensive documentation including Commercial Asset Visibility Air Force (CAVAF) reporting, Repairable Item Inspection Reports, and Counterfeit Prevention Plans. Offerors must maintain CMMC Level 2 (Self) certification, be listed as approved sources on the Government's Screening Analysis Worksheet (Form 761/762) prior to award, and satisfy repair qualification requirements including possession of necessary repair, inspection, testing, packaging, and storage facilities. The solicitation will be awarded to the lowest-priced qualified offeror based on price reasonableness and balance, with a proposal due date of April 12, 2026.
This solicitation contains no set-aside designations and does not identify any potential incumbents or current contractors. The requirement involves repair of two units of NSN 6105-01-503-8585 (the primary motor), four units of NSN 6105013410209, and four units of NSN 6105013150540 (added via Amendment 0001). Pricing is structured with firm fixed-price TT&E contract line items and not-to-exceed repair CLINs, with no specific award value disclosed in the solicitation documents. Delivery timelines require TT&E completion within 30 days of receipt and repair completion within 30 to 180 days depending on the contract line item. Performance of work will occur at the contractor's plant, with shipments directed to multiple locations including the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah; DLA Distribution Depot Hill; and the General Logistics Supply Center.
