About this file
This is an AFMC Form 158 (Packaging Requirements document) for Purchase Instrument Number FD20202600513-00, Version 1, establishing packaging and marking standards for five line items. The document specifies compliance with MIL-STD-129 Revision R and MIL-STD-2073-1 Revision E for military packaging and marking practices.
The primary packaging requirement applies to item 6105015038585FD (PACRN: AAA), which mandates MIL-STD-2073-1 compliance with Military (MIL) preservation level and Packaging Level B. This item requires all wooden lumber, pallets, and containers to be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes, with certification/marking by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) to comply with United Nations restrictions on wood packaging material (WPM) to prevent invasive species such as the pinewood nematode. Shipping containers must be marked per MIL-STD-129 with additional requirements potentially including unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) names, or OEM model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. Four additional line items (6105DTG26026DFD, 6105DTG260270FD, 6105DTG26026FFD, and 6105DTG26026EFD) designated as PACRN AAB, AAC, AAD, and AAE respectively require no packaging data. The packaging specialist responsible is Charles B. Davis, 406 SCMS/GULAA organization, with signature dated March 4, 2026.
