About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is seeking contractor support for the repair, evaluation, and modification of various F/A-18 aircraft components identified by National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs). The Government intends to award a five-year Long Term Contract (LTC) under single-source procurement authority pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and FAR Part 15 procedures, as the Government lacks the necessary technical data to perform these repairs internally. All responsible sources are invited to submit capability statements within 15 days of the February 17, 2026 publication date to express interest and demonstrate their repair capabilities. While this is a presolicitation notice of intent rather than a formal competitive request for proposals, the Government reserves discretion to compete the contract based on responses received. Contractors must be approved sources, and those lacking existing approval must submit source approval documentation concurrent with their proposals using the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair; however, award will not be delayed pending source approval completion.

The contract carries no set-aside designation and is intended for the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CAGE 98247), though other responsible sources may express interest and capability. The procurement encompasses 16 line items related to aircraft landing gear and launch system components, including arm assemblies, catapult launch bars, pistons, cylinders, actuators, and associated parts with unit prices ranging from $17,297 to $420,202. Estimated annual quantities vary across the five-year period, with some items requiring single units annually while others require up to 18 units per year. Response times and action (RTAT) requirements range from 54 to 529 days depending on the specific component. The scope includes labor, material, and facility provisions necessary to complete the required repair and modification work. Point of contact for inquiries and source approval information is Timika Nicholson at Timika.D.Nicholson.CIV@us.navy.mil, with the deadline for capability statement submissions set for March 4, 2026.
