About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 22), is seeking a contractor to provide hazardous waste disposal, collection, and emergency response services for the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, California. The solicitation, scheduled to be issued on March 13, 2025, will require a firm-fixed price contract using NAICS code 562211 and Product Service Code F999. All contractors must be government-certified and prepared to respond directly to the solicitation when published. The point of contact for this opportunity is Jennell Christofaro, who can be reached at jennell.christofaro@va.gov, though telephone responses will not be accepted. While specific evaluation criteria were not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, interested parties should carefully review the forthcoming solicitation document for comprehensive requirements and assessment metrics.
The contract is exclusively set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), with a submission deadline of March 25, 2025, at 14:00 Pacific Time. No specific contract value or budget range was disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, nor were any incumbent contractors mentioned. The procurement is for a single location within the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System, suggesting a localized service requirement. Interested contractors must ensure they meet the SDVOSB certification requirements and are prepared to provide comprehensive hazardous waste management services. The short timeframe between the pre-solicitation notice and the solicitation release indicates the VA is seeking to expedite the procurement process for these critical environmental services.
