About this opportunity
The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), operating under the Department of the Navy's Naval Air Warfare Center, has published a Special Notice announcing a virtual industry day scheduled for May 7, 2026. This Special Notice invites qualified contractors to participate in a forum where the government will present its upcoming procurement requirements for knowledge-based security services supporting F-35 acquisition and sustainment activities. The event will run from 1300 to 1700 EST and is designed to facilitate transparent communication between government and industry stakeholders. The JPO Security Directorate seeks to refine its requirements based on feedback from industry partners regarding their capabilities and capacity to fulfill the anticipated security services contract. This Special Notice represents the government's intent to solicit proposals for comprehensive security support across multiple disciplines and classification levels. The due date for industry participation or preliminary information is May 8, 2026.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to identify qualified contractors capable of providing full-spectrum, multidisciplined security services across five key disciplines: General Security, Industrial Security, Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security. Contractors interested in this opportunity must be capable of managing controlled unclassified information, NATO information, Special Access Program information, and various levels of classified information including Sensitive Compartmented Information. All contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens with SECRET security clearances and hold relevant security certifications from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency's Security Professional Education Development program. The contract scope includes administrative security support, compliance assessments, security training, operations security, anti-terrorism/force protection, insider threat program management, export compliance, and physical security operations across multiple performance locations in Virginia, Maryland, California, Texas, Ohio, Florida, and potentially overseas. The anticipated contract structure consists of a 12-month base period with four optional 12-month renewal periods, with work performed primarily on-site (approximately 100% of the time) during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
