About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify potential repair sources for F-16 Radar Antenna Phase Shift Driver Units (NSN: 1270-01-561-6088, PN: 562R218H01). This pre-solicitation notice seeks qualified repair providers under NAICS code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a corresponding size standard of $34 million. Interested parties must demonstrate repair capabilities for the AN/APG-68 Radar Antenna Phase Shifter Assembly and provide documentation of similar services offered to the government and commercial customers over the past three years. The government's evaluation will prioritize small business concerns, including 8(a) firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses, HUBZone firms, and Women-Owned small businesses, with particular attention to teaming arrangements and relevant experience. Responses to this sources sought announcement are due by December 6, 2025, though interested parties should note that this notice does not constitute a formal solicitation and involves no government commitment to award a contract.
This announcement uses no set-aside designation and is open to all responsible sources. Respondents must understand that the government will require qualification testing and verification before contract award, with an estimated $4,000 cost for testing and approximately 90 days for qualification completion; importantly, successful qualification does not guarantee contract award. The repair work involves complex aerospace electronics requiring specialized facilities verification, data package confirmation, and repair process verification per the Repair Qualification Requirements document dated July 8, 2025. While no specific award value is disclosed in this pre-solicitation phase, the government reserves the right to require post-contract first article exhibits to verify production capability. All costs incurred by companies responding to this market research announcement will not be reimbursed by the government, and respondents should clearly identify their small business status and any anticipated teaming arrangements in their submissions.
