About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research for F-16 Circuit Card Assemblies, seeking to determine potential sources capable of meeting their specific requirements. The pre-solicitation notice aims to improve small business access to acquisition information and enhance competition by identifying contracting opportunities. The government is exploring procurement of 49 circuit card assemblies using authority under 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), which indicates these supplies are available from limited responsible sources. Interested parties are encouraged to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 15 days of the notice, with all submissions to be considered by the agency. Potential respondents should contact Michelle Mihu at michelle.mihu@us.af.mil for further information, and the solicitation is not currently planned to use commercial item acquisition policies.
The procurement is not set aside for small businesses, and the estimated delivery schedule extends to October 31, 2026. Two primary potential contractors have been identified: Indesign LLC (CAGE 1UQ09) and BAE Systems (CAGE 94117), who are suggested as potential subcontracting partners. The specific NSN for the circuit card assembly is 5998-01-555-5340, and the procurement falls under NAICS category 334412 for Bare Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing. The government has determined it would be uneconomical to buy data rights or reverse engineer the part, and specifications are currently incomplete. The solicitation is subject to Free Trade Agreements, and the contracting office is located at 6051 Gum Lane, Hill AFB, UT 84056.
