About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency seeks procurement and installation of a truck bed cap for an F-150 cargo truck supporting NIMAT White, with responses due June 22 by 4:00 PM Central Standard Time. The procurement is set aside for Women-Owned Small Business concerns and restricted to small-business vendors located within a 100-mile radius of Denton, Texas (including Dallas, Fort Worth, Lewisville, Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Arlington, Granbury, and Gainesville).
Place of performance is Denton, Texas. The contractor must procure and install a 2024 Ford F-150 truck bed cap in Antimatter Blue Metallic color, featuring solid fiberglass construction with no windows, battery-powered LED interior lighting, and an aluminum-paneled or solid fiberglass rear door with lockable folding T-handle. Installation must include all manufacturer-recommended seals, clamps, and other items to ensure safe and secure use during transportation operations. The period of performance is not less than 45 days from award. FEMA will deliver the truck to the contractor's facility and retrieve it upon completion.
Any commercial fiberglass cap meeting the technical specifications in Section C is acceptable; no specific manufacturer is required. The Contracting Officer will consider lead time constraints of 8–12 weeks commonly cited by suppliers when evaluating the 45-day delivery window for color-matched caps. Award will be made on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis to a contractor whose quote is technically acceptable and offers the lowest evaluated price. Active registration in SAM is required. The NAICS code is 336214, Travel Trailer and Camper Manufacturing; PSC code is 2320, Trucks and Truck Tractors, Wheeled. Quotations are due electronically to jeffery.byrd@fema.dhs.gov by June 22, 2026.
Notice text
National Incident Management Assistance Teams are rapidly deployable assets that provide FEMA’s initial coordination and response capability prior to and in the immediate hours following a serious incident or disaster. As a result, NIMAT White is required to deploy in support of FEMA
Regions when activated for disasters or readiness events. NIMAT White requires transport of mission critical communications equipment, emergency generators, deployable shelters, and other administrative and operational supplies. The team uses trucks and cargo vans to transport this
equipment and this truck bed cap would increase the capability to safely and securely transport response equipment.
This task order will provide a cargo truck bed cap to increase the capability and capacity to be highly expeditionary and achieve a rapid response for events spanning numerous jurisdictions covering many diverse emergency response disciplines and also support deployments for training
and exercise events.
