About this opportunity
The Drug Enforcement Administration intends to issue a sole source award to the Department of Transportation Maryland for EZ-Pass tolls and services, with a deadline for protest or competitive quotation submission of September 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. EST. This procurement is restricted to sole source; the Government has determined that only the Department of Transportation Maryland can supply EZ-Pass tolling services for official government vehicles, as it is the sole vendor implementing and monitoring Maryland's tolling system. The estimated contract value is $35,000 for a one-year period of performance from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, treated as a recurring requirement. The procurement is being conducted as an open market purchase order under FAR 13.106-3(b) for commercial items. This is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested parties may submit written comments to Donita Hood at Donita.L.Hood@dea.gov. Market research confirmed no alternative vendors expressed capability to provide comparable tolling services. The contracting officer will verify fair and reasonable pricing before order placement. NAICS code 488490 (Other Support Activities for Road Transportation) applies.
