About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center intends to procure eight Explosion Proof Electric HEPA Vacuums with specific technical requirements for use in Class 1 Division 1 Group D environments. The procurement includes four units of Model 1 and four units of Model 2, each with precise specifications regarding electrical power, motor performance, noise levels, and physical dimensions. Accompanying the vacuums are additional required accessories, including hose connections, suction/air hoses, wye connectors, equipment manuals, and a training component for up to 60 personnel. The solicitation will be processed through a Firm Fixed Price contract type, with delivery required on or before August 31, 2025. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.

This procurement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 333413 with a size standard of 500 employees. The total order will consist of eight vacuums divided into two model types, each with specific performance parameters such as horsepower ranging from 1.8 to 5.2 and vacuum flow rates between 150 and 230 cubic feet of air per minute. The contract also includes sixteen stainless steel wye connectors, eight hose-to-vacuum connections, sixteen suction/air hoses of varying lengths, three printed equipment manuals, electronic manual copies, and a spare parts list. The contract will be fulfilled through potentially staggered shipments, with training to be conducted either virtually or on-site at Tinker Air Force Base. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical specifications suggest a comprehensive and specialized procurement effort focused on high-performance industrial vacuum equipment.
