About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command is seeking to procure an HDT AIRBEAM TEMPER Shelter Type XLI, an expeditionary tent designed for rapid deployment as a contingency tactical operations center. This green-colored, stand-alone billet/admin shelter must be capable of setup within 20 minutes or less by only 2-3 personnel, utilizing a compressor system to inflate the tent's structural elements. The tent will serve as a backup command and control facility that can be quickly relocated when the primary Wing Operations Center needs to move or becomes incapacitated. The government will evaluate proposals based on best value considerations including price, technical capability, and delivery schedule. Questions regarding this Request for Quote must be submitted by September 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. CST, with quotes due by September 10, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. CST via email submission.

This procurement opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses operating under NAICS code 314910 (Textile Bag and Canvas Mills) with a size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation does not identify any current incumbents or contractors for this requirement. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the available documentation, the government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract with NET 30 payment terms. The successful contractor must deliver the expeditionary tent within 30 calendar days after contract award. Performance will take place in Abilene, Texas, where the tent will be stationed outside the main Wing Operations Center at what appears to be Dyess Air Force Base, ready for immediate deployment when operational continuity requires rapid relocation of command and control capabilities.
