About this opportunity
The Drug Enforcement Administration seeks design, fabrication, and installation of a museum exhibit for DEA artifacts at its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, with quotes due July 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside, and quoters must provide all items and services requested or submit no response.
Place of performance is West Springfield, Virginia. All contractor personnel must complete extensive security vetting ten business days prior to starting work, including criminal background checks and approval by the DEA Division Security Officer; personnel must be escorted at all times while in the facility and are subject to drug testing. The exhibit involves twelve display niches along a hallway in the Executive Suite, with the vendor responsible for fabricating and installing glass covers, colored substrates on back walls, eight custom freestanding artifact mounts, and wall-mounted artifact labels. The government will provide artifact photographs, dimensions, shop drawings, elevations, label copy, and font and color specifications. Delivery is required within 60 days after award. The NAICS code is 337212, Custom Architectural Woodwork and Millwork Manufacturing; the PSC code is Y1PB, Construction of Exhibit Design (Non-Building). Site visits are encouraged but not mandatory and were conducted July 22, 23, and 24. Contact Stephen Stuart at (202) 213-7382 or Stephen.M.Stuart@dea.gov to schedule. Award basis is technically acceptable/lowest price, evaluated on ability to deliver all requested items and services and delivery time. Three amendments were posted July 23, 24, and 27, addressing clarifications on scope, budget disclosure, and incumbent status; the government confirmed this is a new requirement with no incumbent. No late quotes will be accepted.
