About this opportunity

The United States Air Force Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify capable 8(a) small businesses for an executive suite furniture installation project in Building 696. The government is seeking capabilities statements from vendors who can provide comprehensive furniture and installation services, with a focus on detailed furnishings for specific offices including the Commander's and Deputy's spaces. Interested businesses must submit a 10-page capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to meet the project requirements by February 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM CST. All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and are required to indicate their size status relative to the NAICS code 238390, with a size standard of $19 million. The evaluation will assess vendors' capabilities, socio-economic status, and potential to fulfill the furniture and installation requirements, with the government reserving the right to determine whether the subsequent solicitation will be a full and open competition or a small business set-aside.

The sources sought notice indicates a total small business set-aside is being considered, though no final decision has been made. The project scope involves furnishing and installing specific furniture items from manufacturers like Darran Furniture Industries, JSI, Sit On It, and Source International, with a focus on executive office environments. Contractors will be expected to complete all installation work within 30 calendar days, providing all necessary labor, services, facilities, equipment, and materials. While no specific award value is mentioned, the NAICS code size standard of $19 million suggests potential for a significant contract. The government is particularly interested in vendors' ability to provide complete or partial capabilities, with an openness to identifying potential subcontracting opportunities. Respondents must also disclose their foreign ownership status and any plans to use foreign national employees, and all submissions will be reviewed solely by government employees to maintain procurement integrity.
