About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is seeking Equipment Maintenance Support Services for its Southwest Region Fleet Transportation (SWRFT) division, covering seven sites across California and Arizona. The procurement focuses on providing repair parts, replacement components, supplies, and services for automotive, forklift, heavy equipment, material handling, construction, and civil engineering equipment maintenance. Contractors must be capable of delivering services through staffed or unstaffed on-site parts stores, contractor-owned consignment inventory, or on-demand delivery services. Interested businesses are required to submit a capabilities statement by June 18, 2025, at 08:00 AM PST, which must include their SAM Unique Entity ID, CAGE code, socio-economic status, PWS certification capabilities, and relevant experience providing similar support services within the last three years. The market research RFI emphasizes that this is not a formal solicitation, and respondents should not submit proposals or bids at this time.

The contract opportunity is set aside for total small businesses within the Other Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing NAICS category (336390) with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type with Firm-Fixed-Price and Time-and-Materials contract line items, structured with a one-year base period and four potential one-year option periods. Performance requirements include maintaining parts availability, with fast-moving parts required to be stocked at a maximum 5% out-of-stock condition and delivered within 8 work hours, while slow-moving parts must be furnished within 24-40 work hours. The contractor will be responsible for automated inventory tracking, price list maintenance, parts ordering and delivery, emergency parts management, and data entry into the government's Fleet Anywhere management system. Responses will be submitted via email to contracting officers Jody Koch and Philip Maaninen, with all submissions treated as proprietary and respondents not being notified of assessment results.
