GSA Task Order Title: Gas Chromatograph coupled to a Quadrupole-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (GC-qToF/MS)
The purpose of this GSA delivery order is to purchase a Gas Chromatograph coupled to a Quadrupole-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (GC-qToF/MS). This is a specialized instrumentation with low energy capable EI Source allowing for the preservation of molecular ions and identification of compounds through high-resolution, accurate-mass data acquisition. This purchase will provide the Agency with critical analytical instrumentation that is needed to quantitate chemical concentrations in experimental toxicokinetic assay samples where sensitivity and precision are a requirement. A wide range of chemicals of special interest to the EPA will be screened, in particular, per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and hundreds of chemicals covered under reauthorized Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) legislation (or the Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act)..
