About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command is conducting market research for environmental quality sampling and laboratory analytical services at Osan Air Base in Korea. The Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify local Korean businesses capable of providing comprehensive environmental testing services under NAICS code 541380 for testing laboratory services. The government is interested in understanding vendor capabilities, including material handling equipment, capacity for simultaneous requests, and mobilization timeframes. Interested vendors must submit their company's point of contact information, UEI number, CAGE code, and related past experience to jeong-tae.kim.mil@army.mil by the SAM.GOV posting timeline. This market research is solely for planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or guarantee of future contract award.
The procurement is not set aside for any specific business category, and the potential contract would cover approximately 200 routine environmental quality grab samples annually. The proposed contract structure includes one base year with four additional 12-month option years, focusing on sampling and analysis of various environmental media including groundwater, surface water, drinking water, air emissions, and soils. The contractor must maintain qualified staff such as degreed chemists and environmental specialists and provide laboratory services through facilities certified by U.S. or ROK regulatory authorities. Sampling locations will include 7 boiler sites, 13 stationary reciprocating internal combustion engine sites, 30 hazardous waste characterization locations, and 13 oil-water separators. The contractor will be required to operate between 0800-1600 Monday through Friday and submit comprehensive analytical reports within specified timeframes.
