Update #1 ·
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking firms that have the capability to provide laboratory services for the characterization of soils, sediments, sludges, ground waters, surface waters, tissues, oils, wastes, and other environmental sample types. Typically projects involve analyzing samples collected at field sites and determine the concentrations of various pollutants.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is concerned about these constituents at trace concentration levels. Concentrations of interest are those typical of ambient open water as well as standards and criteria for water and soil/sediment quality. In addition, samples may be required to undergo several predictive tests including leaching tests and bioassays. The work to be done consists of furnishing and delivering to the USACE all supplies and services necessary to conduct laboratory services as requested by specific delivery orders.
