About this opportunity
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/LPZ), Propulsion Integration Division, intends to award three sole-source contracts for the Engine Component Improvement Program (CIP) to RTX Corporation (Pratt & Whitney), General Electric Aerospace (GE-A), and Rolls-Royce Corporation, with anticipated award on October 29, 2027.
The procurement is sole-source under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) because each contractor is the original equipment manufacturer for the engines affected and possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required. Three separate contracts are anticipated under solicitation numbers FA8626-26-R-B005, FA8626-26-R-B003, and FA8626-26-R-B006.
This notice is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is currently available. Firms other than the named OEMs that believe they can meet the requirement must submit written evidence of capability within fifteen days of publication (due by October 13, 2026). The Government will consider such responses solely to determine whether to conduct competitive procurement or proceed on sole-source basis; a decision to remain sole-source rests entirely with the Government.
Subcontracting opportunities are available. Contact Francisco Vasquez (francisco.vasquez@prattwhitney.com) at RTX Corporation (Pratt & Whitney), Bethani Clever (bethani.clever@ge.com) at General Electric Aerospace, or Michael Sampson at Rolls-Royce Corporation for subcontracting information.
