About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure electronic components specifically related to repair and modification of a National Stock Number (NSN) 7H-5998-012592777, with a quantity of 18 units. The procurement will be conducted under a non-competitive solicitation process using FAR 6.302-1 authority, which allows negotiation with a single source. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government will consider proposals received during this timeframe, though the determination to compete remains solely at their discretion. Potential vendors can obtain necessary technical documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via the Document Automation and Production Service, with multiple access methods including online platforms and direct contact.

This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation and does not mention incumbent contractors or precise award values. The procurement involves electronic assemblies, boards, and associated hardware classified under Product Service Code 5998-P. While the exact budget is not specified, the procurement involves 18 units to be delivered FOB Origin. The solicitation is subject to potential Free Trade Agreements and may involve World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement considerations, as indicated by potential DFARS clauses 252.225-7036 and 252.225-7021. Notably, the government has determined that this acquisition will not follow FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items, though interested parties can still identify commercial item capabilities within 15 days of the notice. Vendors interested in responding must carefully review the technical requirements and be prepared to demonstrate their specific capabilities for this specialized electronic component repair and modification project.
