About this opportunity

The New Jersey Air National Guard's 177th Fighter Wing is procuring two electric utility vehicles (EUVs) through a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 for commercial products. The solicitation, originally posted on March 11, 2026, and amended on March 17, 2026, seeks EUVs to support propulsion and non-destructive inspection maintenance operations at the facility. Interested vendors must be registered as small businesses under NAICS code 336110 (Automobile and Light Duty Motor Vehicle Manufacturing) in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and have a size standard of 1,500 employees or fewer to be considered for award. The government will evaluate quotes based on price and technical merit without discussion, making award decisions from submitted quotations. The deadline for proposal submission is March 23, 2026, and vendors must include unit pricing, total pricing, Federal Tax ID, CAGE code, SAM Unique Identity ID, company contact information, vehicle photographs, detailed descriptions, warranty information, and confirmation that operating and maintenance manuals plus parts lists will be provided upon contract award.

This acquisition is designated as a 100% small business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business vendors. The solicitation specifies a requirement for an EXV2 Patriot or approved equal vehicle with a 72-volt electric drive system, minimum 25 mph speed capability, 40-mile range, gross vehicle weight rating of at least 3,000 pounds, and a one-year comprehensive warranty covering all parts and labor. Vendors must provide delivery within 120 days after contract award with all shipping and delivery costs included in their pricing, and delivery must occur on weekdays excluding Mondays. The vehicles will be delivered to the 177th Fighter Wing Propulsion Shop at 400 Langley Road, Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey 08234 on an FOB Destination basis. While no specific budget range has been disclosed, the underlying brand name justification memorandum indicates this is a simplified acquisition under $250,000, suggesting a relatively modest contract value for the two-vehicle procurement.
