About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis is seeking a vendor to provide LP Gas services for Fort Eisenhower. The solicitation seeks a contractor to deliver liquid propane gas to various buildings and support generator fuel needs, with most of the fort having transitioned to natural gas but several locations still requiring LP Gas. The contract solicitation (W9124925RA017) is due on May 13, 2025, with proposals to be submitted by 12:00 PM on the due date. Key contract requirements include delivering 103,500 gallons of LP Gas and providing 30 pump-out services under a firm fixed pricing arrangement. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the provided documents, the solicitation suggests compliance with federal acquisition regulations and small business program requirements will be critical to selection.
The solicitation is specifically set aside for Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) entities, narrowing the competitive field to qualified women-owned firms. The contract includes four option line items matching the base period quantities, potentially allowing for contract extension. Performance will occur at Fort Eisenhower, located in Georgia (30905), with delivery to the W6CB DPW, Operations and Maintenance building. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 221210 for Natural Gas Distribution, with a size standard tied to this specific industry classification. While precise award value is not specified, the requirement for 103,500 gallons of LP Gas suggests a substantial contract value. The contract appears designed to ensure consistent fuel supply, particularly during winter months when heating demands are highest, and to maintain fuel reserves for on-site generators.
Notice text
The Fort Gordon Department of Public Works (DPW) has a requirement for LP Gas at Fort Eisenhower. Most of Fort Eisenhower has been transferred over to natural gas; however, there are many locations that have not been. The need requires that certain buildings always maintain a specific amount of fuel while others are only filled once they are low or empty. This requirement is typically greater in the winter months when the LP Gas is used to heat the buildings. There are also generators on the Fort that use LP Gas as fuel for their engines.
