About this opportunity

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole-source contract to Honeywell Aerospace Technologies for retrofit and testing of modified Brake Bleeder Valve Dust Caps (P/N 2607574) for F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft, with a response deadline of September 15, 2026. This procurement is not subject to competition; NAVAIR will negotiate directly with Honeywell under FAR 6.103-1 based on the vendor's position as the original equipment manufacturer, sole designer, developer, integrator, and supplier of the Brake Bleeder Valve. NAVAIR lacks the necessary technical data for the Hydraulic Bleeder Valve Cap and cannot source this work from alternative suppliers.

The contract covers procurement of up to 4,800 caps and delivery of updated drawings for the Brake Bleeder Valve Dust Caps (P/N 2607574), Brake Bleeder Valve (P/N 2607573), and Multiple Disc Brake Assy (P/N 2611992-5). Period of performance is approximately two years. Honeywell's facility is located at 3520 Westmoor Street, South Bend, Indiana 46628.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement for agency consideration, though award to Honeywell is anticipated. The Government reserves discretion to depart from sole-source procurement based on responses received. NAICS 336413 applies; PSC is 1680.
