About this opportunity

Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research through a Request for Information due June 29, 2026 for potential procurement of E-6 Portable Automated Test Set (PATS) 70-A Fuel Quantity Indicating System (FQIS) build-to-print kits supporting the 516 Software Engineering Squadron's E-6 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) legacy test equipment replacement program. This is a sources-sought notice only; no solicitation or award decision is imminent, and responses will not be compensated.

Contractors should address company experience providing manufacturing test equipment, similar services delivered to government or commercial customers within the past three years, current access to government-shared databases, and business size and type classification. The procurement will cover build-to-print cases, labels, cables, interface test adapters, and self-test plugs requiring contractor management, manufacturing, demonstration, and delivery per a Statement of Work.

The RFI assumes NAICS 334417 (Electronic Connector Manufacturing) and PSC 5935 (Connectors, Electrical). No set-aside is anticipated. Responses to the market research will inform feasibility assessment and subsequent contracting strategy but do not obligate the government to solicit or award.
