About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to WFEL Limited for inspection, repair, and provision of repair parts for four 46-meter Dry Support Bridge systems located in Belgium. The contractor will also provide miscellaneous repair parts for additional systems within the continental United States. Optional coverage includes assessments, repairs and parts for up to two more domestic systems, as well as 120 man-days of training services in Belgium. The period of performance is not specified but the deadline for responses is April 19, 2023.

No set-aside designation was used. As the original equipment manufacturer, WFEL Limited is the only qualified source due to specialized expertise and proprietary knowledge required to avoid substantial duplication of costs. The NAICS code is likely to be 333999 for other miscellaneous general purpose machinery manufacturing. The PSC code would correspond to the repaired items. The government will negotiate solely with WFEL Limited in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) for continued production as a major system, with performance to take place in Belgium and the continental United States.
