About this opportunity
The Air Force District of Washington is seeking a subscription-based drone detection solution for Joint Base Andrews and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The procurement involves acquiring a full-time feed of real-time and historic tracking data on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to support force protection and asset defense. The required system must provide comprehensive drone monitoring capabilities, including detection and identification of Class I and II drones across multiple frequency channels with a >95% detection rate at 3-15 km ranges. Vendors must deliver drone data through a cloud-based platform and API, including detailed technical information such as drone type, serial numbers, flight maps, telemetry, and pilot location. The government requires a vendor response by noon on June 4, 2025, with the need date for the operational system set for June 14, 2025.
The contract is not designated with a specific set-aside and will follow a firm fixed annual subscription pricing model. The period of performance will consist of one base year and one option year, targeting vendors in the Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing sector (NAICS 334511). The technical requirements specify continuous operation in humid subtropical climates ranging from -20C to +45C, with zero customer-deployed hardware and automatic system updates. The solution must demonstrate the capability to track multiple UAS simultaneously and detect over 90% of commercially available drones. Vendors will need to provide a robust, technologically advanced system that can effectively monitor and report on drone activities around these critical military installations.
