About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command has released a Special Notice announcing a Domestic Private Sector CMAV Workload Estimate as of Q2 M2 FY2026. This notice provides a forecasted overview of planned maintenance availabilities (CMAV) for U.S. Navy surface ships across six regional maintenance centers located throughout the continental United States. The workload forecast covers approximately 150+ individual ship maintenance events spanning multiple naval vessel classes, including destroyers, littoral combat ships, amphibious transport docks, dock landing ships, amphibious assault ships, and cruisers. The document explicitly clarifies that this announcement is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to contract work. The notice is categorized under ship building and repairing services (NAICS 336611) with a product and service code of J020 for maintenance, repair, and rebuild of ship and marine equipment.

The primary objective of this workload estimate is to communicate aggregate ship maintenance demand to continental U.S. industry partners to support their planning and forecasting activities. This notice does not require any contractor response, and the Government will not compensate any effort expended in response to this announcement. The workload projections span from FY26 Q2 through FY27 Q1, with bi-monthly updates targeted for release no later than April 30, 2026, and subsequent updates posted to SAM.gov. There are no set-asides or specific eligibility criteria outlined in this notice, as it functions as an informational release rather than a competitive solicitation. The detailed workload charts identify specific ships by hull number and name, scheduled maintenance periods ranging from 19 to 306 days, and homeport locations across Norfolk, Little Creek, Mayport, San Diego, Everett, Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor, though all information remains subject to change based on operational commitments.
