About this opportunity
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) announces a standing domestic private sector workload estimate for continuous maintenance availability (CMAV) of Navy surface ships, with the most recent projection released on August 20, 2026, covering FY26 Q4 through FY27 Q3. This is a planning announcement only; the workload charts and availability reports do not constitute a request for information, request for proposals, or commitment to contract work, and the government will not pay for any effort expended in response.
The Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) releases these forecasts bi-monthly to CONUS industry partners to communicate aggregate ship maintenance demand across five regional maintenance centers: MARMC (Norfolk/Little Creek), SERMC (Mayport), SWRMC (San Diego), NWRMC (Everett), and HRMC (Pearl Harbor/Honolulu). Current projections cover approximately 150 active CMAV periods for Destroyers (DDG), Cruisers (CG), Amphibious Assault Ships (LHD), Amphibious Transport Docks (LPD), Landing Ship Docks (LSD), and Littoral Combat Ships (LCS), with individual maintenance windows ranging from 19 to 282 days. Ships are homeported at Norfolk, Little Creek, Mayport, San Diego, Everett, Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor. The workload information is subject to change based on operational commitments and ongoing budget negotiations. Next bi-monthly projections are targeted for release by October 31, 2026 at SAM.gov. Contact Jamillah Powell, NAVSEA SEA 0244 Contracting Officer, or assigned contract specialists for questions.
