About this opportunity
The Department of Energy's Savannah River Operations Office is seeking court reporter services for its Office of Chief Counsel located in Aiken, South Carolina. The solicitation aims to establish multiple-award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with up to five vendors from the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule. Vendors must provide comprehensive court reporting services, including attending legal proceedings, recording audio and notes, creating verbatim transcripts, and offering trial support services. Qualified court reporters must possess specific credentials such as a court reporting degree or professional certifications like Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or Certified Verbatim Reporter (CVR). The solicitation requires vendors to be classified under NAICS code 561492 for Court Reporting and Stenotype Services, with a $19 million size standard. Proposals are due by May 19, 2025, with the contract period of performance spanning from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2030.
The solicitation is exclusively set aside for small businesses, with a target of awarding 60% of BPAs to socioeconomic concerns. The Department of Energy reserves the right to set aside specific call orders for socioeconomic small businesses. While no incumbent contractors are mentioned, the contract will support the agency's legal proceedings and documentation needs at the Savannah River Site. The place of performance is Aiken, SC 29802, indicating that court reporters will primarily work within this geographical area. Although a specific award value is not explicitly stated, the procurement is structured as a multiple-award BPA with potential for significant engagement over the five-year contract period. The solicitation emphasizes the critical nature of accurate, verbatim record-keeping for legal proceedings and regulatory compliance. Vendors will be expected to provide high-quality, professional court reporting services that meet the Department of Energy's stringent documentation requirements.
