About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking qualified contractors to perform dockside repair and maintenance services for the USCGC ISAAC MAYO (WPC-1112), a Sentinel-class vessel. The scope of work encompasses four primary maintenance items: cleaning and inspecting the Gaylord Hood ventilation system, resealing interior wet deck coverings (approximately 470 square feet), renewing the fuel filter manifold piping for the port main diesel engine, and renewing a stand-off pipe hanger for fire station plug #4. Contractors must demonstrate technical capability, provide references of past performance, and submit detailed pricing proposals. The Coast Guard will evaluate proposals using a best value tradeoff approach, considering technical capability, past performance, and price as the primary evaluation criteria. Key deadlines include December 5, 2025 for the final day to submit questions, December 1, 2025 for ship site visits and inspections, and December 12, 2025 at 11:30 AM for proposal submissions.
This solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside, with a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) preference. The contract is structured as a firm fixed price arrangement with a single contract line item for ship repair services. The period of performance is scheduled from March 30, 2026 through April 27, 2026, representing approximately four weeks of active repair work. All work will be executed at the vessel's home pier in Key West, Florida. The solicitation was posted on November 12, 2025, with a proposal due date of December 12, 2025, providing interested contractors approximately one month to prepare and submit their bids. No incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation materials, and specific award values are not disclosed in the publicly available documents.
