About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Maritime—Puget Sound is procuring one DNM 6700 4th Generation 3-axis vertical machining center on a sole-source basis to Ellison Technologies, with proposals due August 21, 2026. The procurement carries a Women-Owned Small Business set-aside; sole-source status forecloses competition outside that category. An amendment issued August 20 extended the due date from July 27 and corrected the purchase description from 30-tool to 40-tool configuration; contractors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by the August 21 deadline or risk offer rejection.
Delivery is FOB Destination to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Building 514, Bremerton, Washington, with delivery required by September 30, 2026. The equipment must include a FANUC 0i-Plus Control, 40-tool automatic tool changer with BIGPlus CAT40 tool shanks, 15,000 rpm high-speed spindle, through-spindle coolant system, chip conveyor, LNS FOX HM2-700 mist collector, Samchully 4-axis NC rotary table, and Renishaw measurement probes. The machine must operate on existing 220 Volt 3-phase 120-amp power with tolerance for 10 percent voltage fluctuation, comply with OSHA and NFPA standards, and produce audible noise not exceeding 84 decibels A-weighted. The contractor is responsible for leveling, aligning, and providing all fluids, piping, and operating/maintenance manuals. Training for up to six operators/programmers is required for two consecutive eight-hour workdays conducted by a qualified U.S. citizen. NAICS 333248; PSC 3417. Firm fixed-price supply contract. Questions to naomi.larson@dla.mil.
