About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation intends to solicit a commercial item, a DME Interrogator SE (NSN 7R-5826-016574405-P8), with a response deadline of November 1, 2026; this procurement is restricted to Government-approved sources only and is not set-aside.

The requirement is for three units, FOB origin. The item is flight-critical; Government source approval is mandatory prior to award. Only previously approved sources have been solicited. The time required for new-source approval typically prevents award delays to accommodate new suppliers; if you are not currently approved, you must submit source-approval documentation together with your proposal. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) maintains separate source-approval brochures for spares and repair at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/NAVSUP-Enterprise/NAVSUP-Weapon-Systems-Support/Business-Opps/. You must provide technical data demonstrating your company's production experience with the same or similar item, or if this is your first production of this item. If your source-approval request is currently under NAVSUP WSS evaluation, submit a copy of the cover letter with your offer. Offers that fail to provide all required source-approval data or do not document prior submission of required data will be deemed ineligible for award. If source-approval evaluation cannot be completed in time to meet Government requirements, award may proceed based on Fleet supply availability.
